Proper way to support the body

I need to know how best to support the car while doing body work on it. The subframe is gone and so is the rear end, the car is up on blocks supported by jacks at the frame rails in the back and on blocks where the subframe connects in the front. Where else does it need to be supported?

I'll get pictures when I get a chance. Thanks

      Good info here. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=43880

If you are doing floor pans I'd recommend several x bars from the rocker to the opposite b pillar.Try to place so it will not interfere with work and installation of larger pieces.

Also try to put in a place where it will not be moved till new metal is put in. Replace the major structure pieces first.

Another note! After you get the car supported on stands and you're planning on doing some major structural replacements, make sure the car is "level" before you start removing large pieces of metal so that when you weld back the replacement panels everything will/should line up correctly.

Look at the way I did mine. After carefull measurement, I purchased some 2x2 steel and bolted it together and placed it on vehicle/wheel dollies so it can be moved around. Hope this helps.

I got this handed down from a buddy's build. 2x2 steel, solid and level. Held my 65 Chevelle with the frame plus the suspension for a long time and was easy to roll around the garage.
