Custom air filter/ ram air enclosure/ housings

One of those little tasks that really sets the engine bay off, for me, has always been a custom ram air set up or custom filter housing.

Has anyone made one? If so, can you please share your experience here. How did you make it? If you have a custom air filter housing of any kind, please post pics..

I've seen some of these assembly's as fiberglass layed over a cheap aftermarket filter assembly then painted to match or air brushed with nice graphics. Others are tig welded, grinded and polished units. Some end up being an integrated engine cover and air filter cap/ housing cover.
