What brake hoses - C5 calipers

I need to get some brake hoses for my El Camino. Calipers are C5, the other end can be whatever as I haven't made the hard lines yet. I'd prefer to just have normal rubber instead of braided, and above all I'd like to be able to buy replacements at Autozone/Pep Boys/O'Reilly/etc.

I started with the easy answer, but none of them can get 2000 Corvette hoses.

Anyone know what else works and is available?

You're talking about stock braided stainless S-10 lines attaching to C5 calipers, or am I misunderstanding?

For the Monte I am using factory Monte hoses. Just get the bolt for the C5 caliper & replace the brass/bronze washers.

Oh crap, I'm an idiot. I even bought the correct bolts and washers when I bought the calipers. Thanks, Scot.

The fitting doesn't touch the caliper. The brass washers seal between the caliper & the fitting on the hose & the other brass washer seals between the bolt head & the hose fitting.

I don't really want to go stainless.

I tried a set of the Monte hoses, they were way too short. Looked like the S10 ones would be too.

Anyone with an A-body and C5-ish calipers want to spill the beans on what lines they're using?

I haven't mocked mine up yet but am going to try disk brake 1st gen camaro hoses. Are disk brake elky or chevelle hoses too short? The parts store didn't have them in stock.

I would have expected that the metric banjo bolts would require a metric-sized banjo fitting. Are the sizes not so critical?

The copper washers seal the banjo fitting to the bolt. Speed tech list 97 camaro hoses for the C4/C5 hybrid kit.

FWIW, the '97 F-body front hose is 12.66" long give or take and has M10x1.0 ISO female bubble flares on the frame end, 10mm banjo at the caliper.
      It's what I does.

FWIW -- www.kore3.com tobin will sell you SS braided hoses for just about the same you'd pay for parts house hoses. Any length you want.
