      Remember Liz Miles?

Sorry if this is a repost, it is news to me....

This is the girl who keeps popping up from time to time in the automotive world.... first we all saw the camaro she built a few years ago... then she was temporarily a part of the Boyd Coddington crew... now, she is on the Popular Hot Rodding team!

I was googling Steve Rupp (looking for pics of Bad Penny for someone) and I saw this article.... You have to give it to the girl, she seems to be persistant in persuing a career in the automotive world!

Good for her. I wonder how many marriage proposals she's had from drooling gearheads since she popped up on the scene.

If I remember, she's got an H-pattern tattoo'd on her right palm. Too cool.

She rubbed me the wrong way at first (don't do it Allen) but Rupp vouches for her. That's good enough for me. I wish her the best.

So, you now know my replacement..

Liz is a true gearhead and really loves cars (and bikes). Once she learns the ropes I'm sure she'll be a good asset to PHR and I wish her the best.

I just hope Johnny doesn't corrupt her too much with his build style.. lol.. just kidding!

Oh, and she just bought a new PHR project car.. should be cool.

So she is in Socal now? Maybe she can bring her Camaro up the crest with us. Speaking of which, Steve, when you gonna come?!

When I have a free weekend. lol

Car will be down for three weeks while I widen the front wheels. Then things should be calmed down here.

And yes, she lives in SoCal now.

More power to her, some may not like her but she's done pretty well for her age (it seems). Besides....If she's being talked about, she must be doing something right!

I think steve has done a good job as tech editor, and I dont think he is an engineer, but he has LOTS of experience. I hope I'm wrong but "tech editor" and "22 years old" are somewhat contradictory. She'll have a new perspective for sure, but I would have thought a postition like that would have more experience required. I dont have anything against her, but when I think tech editor, I think of walking encyclopedias like Magnante, Vizard, Dulcich or marlan davis, not a kid with a wyotech skin.

A 22 year old tech editor? Im not so sure. Liz is nice, and has a great attitude and willingness to learn. She seamed really easy to talk to when I met her at Goodies. I wish her the best of luck. But I wonder about how long she'll last in the "hostile" work environment.

Good on her I say! Lets see how she matures on the job, she has some big shoes to fill, but if her dedication and go get it attitude has anything to do with it I think she'll do a good job.

Heck my hats off to anyone that has the guts and capability to build their own car regardless of age or sex! And if they take that experience and add their training to it I think we may have someone that will really bring something to the role and grow with it. Lets hope that she has a big PT influence :P

Steve did you have anything to do with her application / interview process?

First, thanks to all for any compliments... I tried to turn out good work and I sure learned a ton in my three years at PHR.

I had nothing to do with the hiring process... I did refer a few folks to Johnny for consideration.

Right now I'm swampped moving CP to a higher level tech wise. It's sure fun working there, but I do miss Fords and Mopars.

Like Johnny says in the PHR article "I’m really excited about Liz being here for a bunch of reasons"
Ol' Johnny's got himself a new playtoy.
It will be balls (boobs) to the wall filling Steve's shoes.
