Chassis jig

Just wondering if any body has a pic of the jig they use when replacing doing major back half bodywork?

but you don't necassarily need a jig, just some well placed supports.



I like to support the body 10-15" (higher for suspension work) off the ground and support at 6 points. 2 at the pinch weld just in line of the firewall. 2 right at the front leaf mounts (either on frame of pinch welds). then 2 at the rear under rear leaf shackle mounting area. Frame mounted.

Then inside using 1/2" .120 wall square tube and triangulate down wards near the ground mounting points.

Thanks for the tip. Found a couple ideas but it seemed that the only adjustment was to level the jig. I was thinking of building a frame and having adjustable uprights to level the car. Seems easier to me to do it that way than try to figure your upright dimmensions. Am I thinking correctly.

No, your thinking. Maybe over thinking but thats not a bad thing.
