Turbo 400/SBC Motor/tranny mount ???
I put new stock motor mounts when I installed my new motor less than 500 miles ago. I am in the process of break in so I havent romped on it much. Well the drivers side mount has about 2-3 inches of movement in the forward gears and I can definately feel it in the pedal and drive train. I have solid mounts at the house to install and plan on doing that this weekend, but in the meantime I had a buddy who owns a oil change shop change my tranny mount from stock to a energy suspension mount. The mount is about 1/2 taller and I am guessing that is because the old mount was worn. My problem is with this new tranny mount I have a vibration while driving now. I want to fix these issues, what should I do? solid motor mounts and stock tranny mounts? Poly motor mounts and poly trans??

Do not run a solid trans mount ever!
Even with solid motor mounts it will break/crack the bell housing on the tranny. I have done it myself and seen it many times when I worked at a trans shop.
Solid motor mounts with a poly trans mount is the way to go. I have that set up with a little extra "support"
here and there on my 598ci/turbo 400 camaro.
