Exhaust too close to fuel pump?

My project is an '86 Mustang that I recently finished the fuel system on. I mounted the a1000 pump on the front side of the tank because I don't like the look of a sumped tank or the pump & lines hanging down. I must of had a brain fart when I did this, because I'm running an IRS from an '03 Cobra and the exhaust runs under the diff & turns outward approx. 2" from the pump. Is this too close? I've thought about fabbing up a heat shield if I could get away with it. I really like the look of a rear exit exhaust but I won't use it if it's going to give me problems. Thanks for any help.

BTW since the exhaust isn't done yet (I have a Cobra exhaust I'm using for mockup) I'd rather change that instead of moving the fuel pump.

If the exhaust is not blowing directly on the pump, no it should be fine.
