[Modo Innovations]

I tried to diversify the business for a little bit just to test the market. Around my part of the country there is always someone who has had their ATV or ATV loading ramps stolen. A friend and I made a product that would help prevent the theives from taking your ATV or ramps.

Two versions are available one for a pick up and the other for a trailer.

dude that pretty cool..i have known guys had them stolen also..now they just use a bid ass chain and padlock them to the truck tie downs..this seems much easier ..good luck with it..

Thanks, we went out and measured all the trucks, foreign and domestic and all the ATVs to make sure we made a universal fit. The ATV-LOC is fully adjustable and will fit any combination of truck and ATV as long as the truck has a 2" reciever and the ATV has a ball mount.

Its a good idea and would work well for most ATV'S some of the sport ATV's like my LTR450 Suzuki not so well... Rule number one is if someone wants something bad enough they'll take it

That is true, if someone wants something bad enough even incasing it in concrete won't stop them. The sport ATVs are so different in the way the differentials are made it would be extremely difficult to make a fit all type of unit other than a strap around the axle.

thats a great idea cause its a real pain to get the front straps in when its loaded. Need something to secure 2 dirt bikes too. That even more of a pain to get done.

Once the initial set up is complete (takes about 5-10 mins) you can load and unload by simply loosing the slack eliminator bolt on the upright, pull the hitch pin, release the coupler mechanism and pull the whole upright assy up and away. Then lay your ramps in the bed of the truck or trailer and stab the upright assy into one of the holes on the ramps, lock it and forget about someone walking away with them. The old way is to park on top of the ramps, then when you are ready to load after riding get in the truck pull it forward off of the ramps then load. This way, unlock and remove the upright, set your ramps up load and reverse the unloading process and drive off. Works on the aluminum folding or steel folding ramps.

couldn't someone pull the pin on the bottom, slide the bar up and out and now you only have the reciver on the ball left.. You could take that off later..

you may want to add a locking pin there.

That is where a keyed alike hitch and coupler lock set is needed. We provide a hitch pin, the keyed alike hitch/ coupler pins are plentiful and many different kinds so we decided to not include them with the ATV-LOC. This allows the customer if they already have one or to use a brand that they like to purchase them. I can provide a set for about $30 extra if the customer wants. I got mine a Northern Tool.

I have not seen this version. The older version rattled in the receiver (doesn't have a way to get rid of the slack)and I didn't personally care for being able to pull a trailer behind it due to safety issues(I may be the only one with the safety issues). But other than that this version looks well made. He has Cabella's as a dealer so it has to be pretty good.
