on the highway you should have more than enough natural airflow to keep the car cool, it's really at idle that you need the fans.
work in progress--for the next 10 years.

Agreed. I'd look for a different manufacturer if I were you.

      Fans

Run Electric Fans they are cheap and save a little HP and you won't overheat at low speeds and sitting in traffic.

I have a pretty good story in regards to a mechanical fan. I bought a brand new ron davis radiator without the electric fans to save some money. At the time I had a motor that made 450 hp or so. I was on my maiden flight getting on the freeway with the new motor and radiator the whole nine right, well the fan went through the radiator and it was over 1.5 inches from it. There is a horsepower rating on the metal flex-a-lite fans, be careful. I learned the hardway and had to get the radiator fixed and the electric fans anyway...

Now while I don't have the HP you have I went a simple and cheap effective way that might work for you. I was at the junkyard when I found an aluminum radiator in an LT-1 Caprice. It was in great condition and has twin fans. A bit wider and taller than my old rad. It works great and moves a ton of air.
