This is what I am looking at because it come with tools and looks to be fairly priced. What is everybodies imput on it? And what suggestions would you make if not this one?

I was just in the same senario. My thoughts who makes the lowes brand? I just bought this from home depot http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...3+90010+524403

It is relabled from campbell hausfeld. It has a higher SCMF rating and a larger capacity. it is a little more money but I thought it was a better bang for your buck. I am happy with its performance.

Judging by the price its an oiless type. The noise will drive you to suicide.

Look in Craigslist for a good used one that is large enough in CFM to run air tools. A new one that will get close to doing what you need starts about $800-1100.00 depending on the quality

If you don't want something with the typical "oiless compressor scream"... Perhaps...

Is this for mechanic work or body work? If its for body work save your money and get what you need or you will turn around and be buying again because you didn't buy enough compressor the first time. Been there wasted my money on that.

this is what I have. It's a great compressor. I won't be doing any body work so it's good enough for me. It keeps up with a die grinder....

I want to be able to paint small things, not a whole car obviously, it will be more for the pnematic tools... I want to have a spray gun on there that I can paint with though...but not to the extent of a whole car...

      quincy compressor

buy a quincy 5 horse 2 stage 1,000.00 to 1,200.00 what ever you buy it needs to be a 2 stage or you will not be able to run a body sander like a d/a . i have sold the quincy 5 hp to several small body shops it has a presure feed oil system, cast iron cylinders and block it will be the last one you will ever need to buy i have seen 1950 models in body shops covered with dirt still pumping away. I have noticed a lot of compressors for sale in the local newspaper for really cheap. If you are not short on space you could buy 2 compressors and team them up together when you need the extra cfm. We have 4 ganged up at work and mostly run on 1 all of the time but always have a backup. The same concept can work for anyone. From what I have seen you could have 10hp worth of compessors for about $300 to $400 dollars and anywhere from 15 gal to 75gal of storage.
