I am hoping a dealer isn't my only choice as the $ will hurt. wondering if they would so kind to throw in a wiring diagram.

chances are you need more than just the cluster. Aston M probably uses some odd data transfer to the cluster instead of regular square wave etc signals

wow. i think the stock gauges look pretty good. i will keep my eyes opened. getting them to work would be an issue as all my stuff is mechanical.

Nine hundred and fifty dollars for a clock.

I'm sorry, I'm having trouble imagining it. Is it one of those spiffy ones that auto-syncronizes with an atomic clock and uses a GPS to know when you cross a time zone line to re-set the time, or is it just an insanely-priced regular clock?

Might I ask what manner of a project needs a thousand dollar (after tax) clock?

Had a ride in one... damn nice, sorry I missed the clock. I doubt you'll find any going retail in a salvage yard?

Google exotic car salvage yards - I've been on a few SoCal business sites that specialize in wrecked exotics. You should be able to find something, the difficulty will probably the wiring, as I am guessing they are digital gauges run through one of the many CPU's on the car.

On a side note, I was looking at some really cool digital fuel sending units to mate up to digital dashes when I was at the Autosport Engineering Show in the UK. Because it was in Pounds Sterling and not the Dollar, it wound up being $1100!!! I don't think we will do that for a future project. So its not just exotic stuff that is painfully expensive.
