      Attention all shockwave owners!

The AirCan is an optional cosmetic cover for ShockWave™. It is designed to provide a smoother look than the exposed air spring and does not alter the performance of the ShockWave™. They are available in anodized or polished finishes.

What kind of thermal protection does this provide for the Shockwaves? How close can you put the exhaust with these.

      Thanks,

It's definitely going to help keep heat off the Shockwaves. I would still try to keep the exhaust at least a couple inches away.

a couple inches in a hot rod? nope not gonna happen unless you go under the axle which is not much of an option for most, the question is how close can exhaust be run near the bag and have it last? 1 inch, 1/2 inch?

Im interested to see these installed and how they look. A part of me still needs to see a spring, shock or something for the front end to look right. I am wondering what this will look like installed. For protection they look great. Anyone have pics of them installed?

If your really worried about the heat and want to get as close as possible... ceramic coatings may help perhaps? Coat/line your shockwave cover in a thermal barrier.
