Should I put a scattershield in my 68 Camaro? It is an Auto

Its a 68 camaro with a 383 stroker, I have a 700r4 and would like to know people's opinion on getting a scattershield for the transmission while the engine out even though its an Auto?
By the way I will be running a shift kit and 2500 stall converter.

If you think It would be wise to get one, is there any you would recommend

Unless you are running a transbrake or very fast (in the low 10 second range quarter mile) I would not worry about it. The metal ones cause clearance issues with the body and the blanket type aren't good for the street since they can get soaked with oil and trap heat in the trans. I have had the best luck with the CSI one piece composite ones as the best of protection and ease of install. They also are legal as a ring gear shield as well for the sub 9 second rides.
