Dude the amount of leather required to cover the seat is at least $100 alone. It's probably vinyl or "pleather" that won't last very long.

I definitely wouldn't bother. I mean yeah it's only $100-ish (how much is shipping on a set of seats?) so you can try it and if they do suck, you're not out that much money. It just definitely seems like b.s. to me.

Yeah I know. I also seen them for $199 on other sites. Im kind of worried about the height issue; 37' in high and 22' wide. I purchased the stock console and horse shoe shifter for my 70 chevelle brand new. Do you think thats enough clearance for it work. What seats would you put in a 70 chevelle. I have a pair of S10 seats that needs to re-coverd. But if I can find some that are ready to install that would be awesome. I have bench seats, there are in near perfect condition but its not working for me at all.

      Thanks

have you priced out having the S-10 seats recovered? might be an option. Even cheap seats plus shipping is going to cost some dough.

These seats were mentioned in the buckets for a 55 Chevy.

Some of the hardware on the side looks very similar to those on ebay but I think they are two very different seats.

Yeah their priced decent, and good support also. This are where Im getting my seats from fellas. If you notice all of my threads, the search for bucket seats was a high demand for me. I talked them yesterday evening about pricing. I will be paying 227 (pro 90 series) a seat already covered brand new, ready to install. 70 bucks for the adapters to bolt to the floor.

They gave me a military discount so thats good. I wish I would've knew about these guys earlier. All this time I was looking for buckets "ready to insatall" for a decent price. It was almost un-reachable. Did not have the money for recaro's I really think I made the right choice with these, I will post pics as soon as I get them, and get them insatalled. Im in SC Columbia and the shipping is 89.00 not to bad considering its coming from the other side of the country. They also ultra light too.

Did you order your Scat Pro-90 seats from Summit, or who did you go through? Those are the seats that are going into the Nova!

Not from Summit. I think their too pricey but do ask them how much, and let me know too. I went to the the main dealer directly and a rep gave the rundown: (cost, dimensions, and shipping). I was content with the outcome.

Summit is $227.50, and more than likely have a 4 million dollar oversize charge. This is me and the invoice: I think since I'm on the west coast I can save a couple of bucks by going direct to Scat.

Sounds good I might do the same Im from Atlanta GA, the Summit is in Mcdonald GA. not far from home. I might just take a trip home to pick up the seats but with gas prices the way there are I would still come out even. You will also need adapters so the seats can pop right in.

I'm welding my own custom brakets to make the seat sit lower. I'm 6'6", so standard brackets just won't cut it.

Haven't started on it yet, but I was thinking of just using 1/16" or 3/32" thick 1" wide plain steel stock. Run a flat piece between the body mounting holes, then bend and weld on two D shaped stand-offs for the seat mounts.

The stand offs would be *just* tall enough to snake a 1/2" long bolt in to attach the seat. This way I can take out the seat if needed.

I was also told the seats have no hog rings. So re covering (when neeeded) should be easy as cake.
