      Innovate LM-1!

      Just a thought here -

I run a Innovate LM-1 wideband system WBO2 and it's been very useful for tuning, both NA and supercharged. You can datalog all sorts of parameters as well as the standard RPM and AFR (I am currently capturing fuel pressure, MAP sensor reading, RPM, AFR, throttle position on a carb'd vehicle). ANd you can trust the readings, too. A NBO2 is absolutely useless unless you are at 14.7:1 afr - that's where the OEMs designed them to operate cause that's what they try to hit in open loop cruise mode.

I think it would be well worth the time , effort, and money to install a wideband in your car to show you more of what the car is doing. Will it tell you everything? Of course not, but you can get a pretty good idea of what's happening. As far as tuning goes, it's a really powerful tool - plus you can tune your cruise AFRs too, and get some gas mileage (if you drive any street miles) and these days that will mean it pays for itself probably in a couple months if you tune it just right.

I think I got my LM-1 plus the RPM converter for abour $425 on ebay (new). Never been happier with a purchase to be honest. Zero problems, fantastic support via the Innovate web forums as well. Plus super advanced tuners are available via that site to help troublshoot as well for another "angle".

You can see how the pump shot (both cams and squirter size) affects things as you open the throttle, you can see what air bleeds do to the fuel curve, the possibilites are endless the system reacts so quickly to changing AFR. I believe it is probably the quickest reacting system which enables you to see small issues like I mentioned.

I of course don't work for Innovate or anything, nor do I sell their stuff. But it's great stuff, thought I would pass on some good experiences anyway.

Good luck! Hope you figure it out!
