      68 Chevelle 18's & 20's?

Does anyone know what the largest and or best size wheels and tires on a 68 Chevelle would be? I'm also thinking about air ride. I saw the picture of the blue 68 in one of the threads lowered with 20's on the back and it looked aesome! Does anyone else have any more pictures of 68's with 20's?

I found these two in my collection, not sure on the size, but check out the other thread on the 70-72 tires and rims, the same should apply for yours. Also check out www.cardomain.com and go to chevelles and then pic your year. Sometimes a few goodies in there. Hope this helps a little.

In 1999,I installed a pair of 20x10 TT II's on my former 68 El Camino. Backspacing was 5.5" and tires used were Michelin Pilot 275/35/20's. 295/40's would have fit, easily, and there was room for 6" backspacing.
Just my opinion but I would run 18's on the front,if it were my car.

      chevelle

I am running 275 45 17's on the rear of my 68 chevelle. I think I can easily go to a 295 45/ 18 on the back though
