      Tube AN Nuts

I would like to use AN tubing nuts and sleeve on my hardlines rather than inverted flare to AN adapter, but I can not find the pressure rating on the manufacturer sites for the steel AN nuts. Here is the Earl nut: -6 Steel Tube Nut

Zinc Plated Domestic Steel Construction. Available for Any Plumbing Situation And Many Custom Applications.

Any ideas on this? Anyone using these on their fuel lines? Thanks.

Steel AN nuts? I don't know off the top of my head but they are acceptable for use in power steering systems. That's 1500psi working pressure. I hope you're not running that much fuel pressure.

Most rubber hose is rated far higher than most fuel systems. Teflon hose can also be used and has a larger bore diameter on the fittings.

Aluminum nuts and ferules are fine for fuel as well.

I looked at the aluminum also, there is more of a selection, but I was concerned about corrosion between the metals. Then again, aluminum fuel fittings have been used for a long time...

I plan to use the socketless fittings and hose and the pressure should not be much over 50psi.

Im not sure on what your doing but I used these on my fuel system

available in -6 and -8 AN on 3/8 and 1/2 inch aluminum tubing. the replacement brass compression rings can be bought at the hardware store if you screw up. The aluminum is awsome to work with and for the ends I just made up a couple of braided hose ends to attach it to the fuel cell and engine.
Im running 45-50psi fuel pressure and never a leak.

Thanks for this info. This is exactly the setup I was going to use for my fuel system. Nice to hear your success with it. And I'm not running intectors just a carb. So I know this will work for me.

I like those. I swung by the local Parker store and I think they will have everything I need at a much better price than Summit.
