      Glad you are OK!
Also use loctite on those set screws. I just went out and checked mine just to be sure.

Question for you: As far as the carpeting, what type is that? It looks like the "Mercedes Carpet" that I sometimes read about but have never been able to find a source for.
late to reply and a little OT, but,
Mercedes carpet is called German Square Weave.

Thats because they use the hell out of it. And they make ready to go kits out of it because there is a market for it. Call West Coast Classics in CA, they are a VW shop, but they sell it by the yard.

Well we finally got the car over to ADS in Chandler, AZ to have it tuned. The big block Olds did better than I thought with a torque cam and stock exhaust manifolds, 324hp and 447tq at the wheels. Below is the dyno, she is done at 4500!

Cool thanks man, I wish it would have been tuned before that event! Oh well, wouldn't really have changed much as acceleration wasn't really a huge factor on that track. Smooth and steady was apparently key!

Thanks guys! Like always this car never seems to be done. Paul has been working on putting a Holley Street Avenger carb on it. Figured we had tried all the others out, might as weel try this one too! Actually the darn Edlebrock that was on there flooded and was questionable at mid throttle on power. So, we borrowed this Street Avenger from a buddy. We should know soon how well it works.

Below is the page from PHR. Guess they got a little confused on the notes. I was driving it in the picture. Time wasn't too bad for my first trip around an autocross. Was quite fun actually!
