I would say to clear the airride

The subframe has to be clearanced for the Shockwaves air springs part of the air ride suspension. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Had to mock it up with out the shockwaves thow, the didn't show up in the mail like I thought they were going to and the sub had to be to the powder coater.

My brother had a '69 Camaro in the very early 70's and I vowed then I would have one.
After three kids have been raised, things on the level, I decided to buy. I found a Firebird (which I also like the looks of, and not as popular, less around) on Ebay in Canada, had my cousin check it out for me there and I bought it. When I went to bring it home I found the paint was way to thick to do any worth while work over. I knew it also had rust in the lower front fender tips and a little more than thought in the quarters, still very little thou. So with the parts that needed replacing all being direct corralating areas of the Camaro and my still longing for that Camaro it was decided to go Camaro. The dash will be different, but I decided not to change it because the dash of the Camaro is the thing I like least on the Camaros.
As said before not just to jump on the 69 Camaro band wagon. My whole family could tell you all there lives what my favorite car was, and they were probably sick of hearing about it.
And unfortunately my brother whom had that Camaro started to go blind shortly after that early 70's summer, and I have always wanted to to bring him around and give him a couple more good feelings. And let him behind the wheel in a very very wide open area. God he loved his cars so much. He is the one who gave me my taste for Hot Rodding, with all of his muscle cars around as I was groing up.

I agree with the cost of basket case camaros over 5k why not change the bird?- frt clip, quarters and tailpanel and dash and your there! I thought about it too but Ive had several 69's -2 R/S Z/28's a pace car and a parts car(shoulda kept and built that) if you are changing out the tailpanel - try and save the old if its any good as theyre hard to find -I think they are repoping them but HIGH! Mine was nice on my car and I'm doing a clonification https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=14992
and will be happy with the camaro's ugly sister. IMO everybody has a 69 Camaro anyway (I still have a R/S Z28 too) now if my body man woukd get it in gear 3 years he's had it!
