      fox body four link

i was wondering how good the four link design was in the fox bodied mustangs are. i have a 67 fastback that i have been planning to build for quite sometime now i gave up on stock style suspension a while ago and have seen pretty much every kind of front and rear suspension setups for old mustangs and none really seem to be what i like. i have an 8.8 out of turbocoupe (disc brake 3.73 posi) so i have the stock pickup points. would it be a good idea to use aftermarket arms and make that work or design some other 4 link setup with longer arms or something. and what about this 3-link craze is it really better than a four link?

the factory fox body 4 link isnt all too good, they bind a lot. theres been a LOT of talk about this on corner-carvers.com you may want to go there and run a search on old posts, you will find good information about it, and you will also find a lot of other good tech info on rear suspensions.

Also I believe that Mean 69 is building a 67 or so Mustang with a new rear suspension, you might try PMing him.

Yep, go to Cornercarvers and read up. Lots of good suspension tech on Mustangs over there.
