Random ? for guys with 1st gen Camaros

Ok so I'm trying to help a guy on another forum with puting a rear spoiler on his Nova. He was told by someone that he needed to use a 67/68 Camaro spoiler, and that a 69 was too wide. But I have a 69 on my car and it works out nice. So I was wondering what the width was on the 67/68 and a 69 rear spoiler.

I'm just trying to help him out with all the info I can before he buys anything and start drilling holes.

      Thanks

There are 2 different width spoilers and the 69 has the wider spoiler. With that said some early 69's used 68 spoiler or what many call the 67-68 spoiler. They are not as wide and just a note 67's did not come from the factory with spoilers front or rear. At some point they were a dealer item but were never installed on 67's until they hit the dealers lot.

If you ever see a 69 and the spoiler looks a little short and not extending to each side of the 1/4 edge then it's the shorter spoiler. I am not sure what the factory cut off point was for this though.

I don't know which version I have, but here's a pic and specs.

It's 60" at the rear and almost an inch wider at the front of the spoiler. Hope that helps!

On my 67 the spoiler measures 57 3/4" on the back edge and 59 1/8" on the front edge. On my 69 it is 60 1/2" on the back edge and 61 1/8" on the front edge. I hope this helps.

I was close I didn't want to touch my tape measure to the paint, all I had was a metal retractable piece.
