What do you think of these turbo headers?

Do you think they will work for my 69? What about 18 degree heads?

I don't see how they'll clear on a first gen. And not sure why they're calling them turbo headers as they have no flanges for the turbos. At that point you could call almost any header a turbo header.

Quality looks great but you'll want to make sure they're even going to fit. Comparing them to a set I had for my 69 they do not look like they'll work at all, but I am not guaranteeing that.

They seem pricey to me. The construction looks good, but not the way I would plumb the pipes.

Personally I'd pass them up. You can get flanges that would work anywhere, and a good set made for your car for a good price. The way those 180bends stick up looks goofy as hell. A lot of the time the headers look relatively stock on the side where the crossover goes from, as well.

If you were doing twins I really don't see a big reason you need equal length tubes unless you were that concerned with spool, and if you were that concerned you'd be more apt to spend 5k on a completely custom setup.

Bottom line, find a good shop, go custom, you'll get better for the same if not less money.

They would put the turbos just in front of the engine it looks. Jody, do you have the pictures of your Kooks headers to compare to? Obviously these need flanges, but it gives you flexibility there.

The first tube on each side is very close to the a-arms on a first gen. The ones from Stainless Works do not look like they'd clear, they hang too far out. Then again maybe they go down, out, and around to miss them, which would likely interfere with the inner fenderwell.

Here is a pic of my drivers side header. I chose to put my downpipe up top rather than down low. I thought it would fit better.
