dropping the front of a 68 camaro
Hey guys,
I'm looking for the pro-touring look and want to drop the front of my car a bit. I currently have the front sub frame out and I'm fixing to sand blast it, power coat it. While I'm at it I'm replacing bushing and all worn pieces.
My question is what is the best way to lower the front while keeping the the stock control arms. I'm going to put 18" rims in the rear with 17" rims in the front. I read somewhere that the steering linkage will rub a wide rim if I use drop spindles.
Will different springs by there self lower the front? I'm not going to race the car so I'm not looking replacing everything with one of those tubular kits etc. I'm just looking for a good ride with mean stance.
How much do you guys typically lower these cars with a 17' rim?
thanks,
Shad
