LQ4 carb going to EFI and have some questions.

Looking to swap my carbed LQ4 to factory EFI. I have fbody accessories already. I need help with all the parts needed to do this swap. I'll have to piece it all together and I don't want to leave anything out. The engine is in a 81 camaro so I don't need any emissons stuff just all the sensors and components to run the engine. I looked at a lot of info in the stickies but I need a definite shopping list.

      Sensors

You might want to check the MegaSquirt and Thirdgen sites they have part number listings for sensors.

On the MegaSquirt site scroll down on the left to MegaSquirt support forms, Then scroll down on the right to wiring and sensors, there is a good list of sensor part numbers.

The sensors you will need are MAT or IAT (Manifold or Inlet air temp.
Coolant Temp), TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), TAC (Idle Air Control), MAP (Manifold Air Pressure), EGO (Exhaust Gas Oxygen) these are just the basics. If you dont have a ECM I would sugest MegaSquirt.

I can get all the sensor part#s, I just need to know what sensors I need. I will be using the factory efi and I have access to HP tuners. I may just get a speartech harness done and work backwards and get the sensors that are for the harness.

If You read my post I told you what basic sensors You will need.
EFI is not an afternoon or weekend project like swapping out a carb or intake manifold. There is a steep learning curve with a ton of reading involved. I read and researched for almost a year before starting my project, those two sites I linked to will get you started. After doing some reading You will know what sensors You need.

Thanks for the help Ollie. I've done a lot of research and I'm getting familiar with what I need.
