too much?
hello,
I have been looking to get some new wheels and tires and was wondering what is too big? I seem to remember reading somewhere that you dont really need reall wide and big wheels. that you do need to go bigger than stock but there is a point where you can go to much and then it just slows you down. i dont know if I worded ths correctly but hopefully you know what I mean. any thoughts would be great. thanks.
oh and what is the widest tire that can be fit on a stock 68 firebird? and is a 16 inch wheel good for performace? I really don like really big wheels? will 16's offer good handling? thanks.

Go with 17 inch wheels. 16s are a little weak on choices for tires 17s on the other hand you have a ton of choices.
I cant offer help on the rest.Nothing says "I built this" better than tool marks and dykem blue..

I agree with Shawn. Anything over 18" and performance will degrade.
