      That car looks ridiculous.

Maybach should thank god for the Saudis, they'll buy anything. The more ridiculous and overpriced, the better.

Maybach's have always had crazy powerplants.

Although I'm not quite sure why that's called for in a car that is driven by a chauffeur. why does the person sitting in back care about 650 hp?

If you had millions to waste, would you buy a uber luxo-mobile with 300HP or 650HP? I think at that level of expense, the question isn't "why?", it's "why not?".

      ...or kidnappers/terrorists.

If you're that important, your "chauffeur" isn't some doofus, he'd have extensive evasion/HPDE experience.

Like knowing how to drive a limo backwards 40+mph down an alley. That's just for starters.
