      Bad Medicine Update! w/ pics

Hey guys, I've been breifly on the site the last couple months as I've been real busy with the car. Well its comin down to the finish and we are working hard here at Best of Show to get my Dads car to Goodguys DelMar. It sounds like its gonna be in the PPG Booth for those that are attending. We did a lot of suttle alterations to the car, and made all the aftermarket sheetmetal fit which was a job in itself. The engine was a crisis as the world products BBC 540 was basically a $9k paperweight! So Tim at Don Lee Auto is doing a great job of fixing what WORLD(BILL MITCHELL) did wrong ( In Short) We had to buy new Pistons, cam and overbore the block but they did send us a new crank and bearings. The interior is in and just about finsihed tonight. We are waintng for wheels ( Bonspeed Huntingtons :Thanks Frank). The AirRide system we plumbed with stainless hardlines and there are no leaks!! I finsihed wiring the car about a week ago and we are awaiting the engine to come back b4 I wire the front end and hang the sheetmetal. The paint on the car is PPG CAbernet out of there Vibrance line is a 3stage application. I did play with the color a little and I also laid out the SS stripes on the car and ghosted them in. Painting the car took 12hrs from start to finish and boy I was tired at the end of the day. The color is awsome and exactly what I wanted. Well thats all for now, I leave you with a couple pics and have some hopefully for you next week.

Today we got the doors on and I'm installing the windows tonight, as well as door handles. Seats are in, so the interior will be buttoned up by the weekend! Then its time to install the engine and tuesday I will pick up the wheels from Bonspeed!

Guys, you have to see this paint job in person to really appreciate it - these pics don't do it justice. Chris lays down some wicked paint! The color and the subtle stripes are awesome plus the team at BOS giving it their standard over-the-top level of workmanship to bring it all together. Great job Chris, I can't wait to see the finished car! Not long now.....

Awesome color!!!! Did you use a mica base, it looks metallic and more red than purple?

      Thanks in advance!
