      no brakes what am i doing wrong?

      OK so i was trying to get the brakes going here is what i did step buy step. first we bench bleed the MC but it on the car and hooked all the lines up. then we stared to bleed the passenger side back brake(drum)got a nice stream then moved to the rear driver side brake and got a good stream, moved to the front passenger side(wilwood disc) bleed the out side bleeder then moved to the driver side and bleed the out side bleeder. we did that whole rotation about 3 times and still a soft peddle, then i realized that the front wilwoods have a bleeder on the out side on the caliper and the inside. so i bleed the passenger side caliper(the inside bleeder) and then did the driver side... still a soft peddle. so we decided to fire up the car and see if they would improve, but once i fired the car up the peddle went to the floor fast. i am guessing i do not have enough vacuum? i am stuck and i need to get the car going for the show at the end of the month and help would be grate.. lol sorry for such a long post

      Sounds like you guys need to do a lot more bleeding, are these two, four or six piston brakes? We do the Baer and Wilwood all the time and on the big guys you have to bleed and re bleed over and over. Sounds like the rear is good to go so do the front again, do not start the car as you wont get it right.

      1. start on the inside of the passenger side to get all the air out, move to the outside and repeat.
      2. repeat on the driver side, do the inside and move to the outside
      3. repeat again on passenger side inside and out
      4. repeat again on driver side inside and out

      you may have to do this 5 times or 10 times depending on what size calipers you have. We had a set of 6 pistons and it took us an hour to keep going back and forth to get all the air bubbles out. Just be paitent and make sure you dont have any lose lines or you will be getting air right back in and you wont get anywhere.

      So the four are not as bad as the six, just take your time and make sure its all tight no leaks and keep going back and forth. I used half a gallon doing two six piston so it can take some time. Let me know how it goes

      In addition....try bleeding the front and rears at the same time. (3 people required) just supply the beer!

      Also...what size lines are you running? the bigger lines are much harder to get the air out of them as the velocity is lower.

      ok i feel like a dumb a$$ i had the calipers on the wrong way so the bleeders were on the bottom once i switched the left to the right and the right to the left the bleeders were on top and now i have brakes! thanks for the help guys!

      ok i have a question for u then how did u bleed your 4 bleeders. i just put my buddies wilwoods on his chevelle in the back and it has four bleeders any special way it needs to be blead? i tried to bleed them for a bit but the shop got way cold and i could only gfet drips coming out of the bottom one, i did not try and do the tops. any help would be great!

      Only use the tops. Inside then outside, just like explained above. You won't get any air out from the bottom screws. They just maken the calipers 'universal', not easier to bleed.

      oh ok i see now. thanks as you can tell i am not that grate with all this brake stuff. i guess it would help if i has some instructions 2 lol
