Lil John is someone who influenced me a great deal. To see a man make pieces and cars with the equipment he had and have it be so perfect let you know about his abilities and then some.

His memory will live on with me forever

How many guys can say they've built Top Fuel cars, Indy Cars and AMBR cars.

I'm proud to have just seen the Willys he built for Mr Gasket back in the 80s just this weekend at the Seattle Roadster Show and sadly, there wasn't even any mention of Lil' John anywhere in the display as if a new coat of paint made it the new owner's car. How many cars from the 80s could be freshened up and brough back out 20 years later and be contenders?? And one could even argue, the car looked better before the update. That's how far ahead of his time he was!

me too. that silver camaro molded my perception of a 'cool' car for eternity. Understated, kick ass induction, build quality and attention to detail.

      RIP John.

Amazingly, the first thing I thought of was the '69 Camaro that was wrecked & then brought back to life much better than before. It had injection with cut down injector stacks to fit under the hood.

I'm really sorry to hear about the passing of Lil' John.

Was the Willeys white, then later painted green? I think a '33?

Yep, it was white but don't know if I ever saw it in green and right now it's burnt orange.

That's right, I'm thinking of a different green one.

I remember having a Hot Rod centerfold of the white one up in my room when I was a kid.

I think it had 16" wheels, cutting edge at the time.
