      New with 2001 Silverado

My name is Nick, building a 2001 Silverado frame up, first I modified the factory frame but then decided tube chassis was the only way to go.
Here it was right before tear down...

Then the frame 99% done, that I have no clue what to do with now haha

Plan is full tube chassis, with shockwave suspension, bodydropped 2" (not laying rocker) just tucking the frame up a little more, tri-4 link rear suspension, all suspension setup with a ride height of about 4.5" with capability to lay on the frame when parked or whenever. But going for the performance aspects in suspension design, motor will be upwards of 700HP when done so I need to be able to handle and launch this thing without any worries, once I get started on the new frame I'll post up my progress.

By the way, I love the site, full of good information!

Looks good, thats gonna be a wild truck, what engine you got lined up.
Heres my 2001 Silverado, much milder 3/4 drop, denali wheels, escalade handles, GMC trim, roll pan. Sold it this spring, I miss it but had to make room for 2006 4x4 ext cab.

Motor is under wraps for right now I have a lot of stuff I'm not mentioning on it, and you will see why when I get to that part of the build. I love this frame, but honestly I want to 100% love it and make it 100% perform which is why I plan a tube chassis now. once you get to know me, you'll notice I change my mind on little stuff a lot) but it will get done, everything else is set in stone, as was the frame, just I want to do it a different way now.
