Rest in peace, Boyd. Love him or hate him, many of his cars have been inspirational fodder for many of us, and many of us are riding on his rims. 2X on the Ghost rider idea...

I think it is safe to say that he influenced most of us weather we knew it or not. He was starting to change the industry by creating outstanding rods when I was trying to figuring out how to sharpen my pencil in 5th grade.

RIP Boyd, nobody deserves to leave this life early, condolences to the family, many people didnt care for his personality, or what they saw on TV, but the man had a huge impact on the world of hot rodding, his name will not be forgotten easily...

I don't care what the TV show portrayed. He is an inspiration to us all. God Bless... I will be hanging with my dad tonite, who is 59, and will be sure to tip a beer back in his honor.

New bogus member that we'll probably never here from again? Not a bad thing I guess. Just because you don't care for somebody doesn’t mean you need to be disrespectful.

Its funny how people judge on what they have seen on TV.

He has influenced the business and we give our condolences to his familly and friends. Loss to the industry indeed.

I have it on good authority that he recently was suffering from an infection resulting from an undiagnosed colon problem. By the time they'd figured out what was going on, the infection had spread to his liver and kidneys, and became unrecoverable.

Get yourselves checked out guys. Don't put it off.

      Boyd

I had the honor of meeting and talking to Boyd at a couple of the Goodguys shows. He was always a class act whenever i seen him. Aways willing to talk cars and sign autographs for people. I followed his cars since I was a teenager and always thought he was one of the greats. Not at all like he appearde to be on t.v. A very sad day for the hot rod world. My sincere condolences to his family. Rest In Peace Boyd.

I do not think most understand the influence he actually had on the Hot Rod World. He was also one of the starters of the driving high end cars as all his cars were built to drive in an era of static displays.

As for the show, I watched every episode and never saw him raise his voice once or treat anyone with disrespect? Actually it seamed the reverse as he was treated poorly by his workers.

Had the pleasure of meeting him about 15 years ago and he was 1st class to me . RIP Boyd.

I heard a man say this last year...

"You are remembered for the problems you solve...or the problems you create."

Way too young to go. I'm sorry for his family's loss.

Way too young but he did more in his 63 years then most will in 95. I would have liked to meet him. Makes me want to get going more on things I want out of life instead of treading water and getting by. :(
