Got it up on the trailer last Sunday. A little scraping of exhaust but it made it. It has never been up there before. Have to weld on some loops for tie downs to the rear frame rails and put some D rings on the trailer, nothing too big. 4500lb winch I bought from Costco for $50!! didnt even breathe hard and it didnt rip the front bumper off! lol

When do you think your first track day will be? I'm about 15 min from CTMP. I'd love to see this in action

Thanks. Sept realistically for a shakedown on the DDT track . I'll make a post if you like. There is still a bunch of details to work through. Biggest is it has to go to Horners in Bowmanville to have a road race set up installed. It will be at the Oshawa Autofest show in Aug.

I'd appreciate a heads up when you go to the DDT. I was there instructing and also running our Camaro on the new configuration of this track. It's lots of fun with some technical corners. You'll have a blast!

That car is crazy man. Despite being a bowtie guy, I never was a big Chevelle fan.
You car has single handedly changed that. That's an awesome looking car.

Its a stock car, the fenders are cut the tires hang. It is NOT a Trans Am car. It will never have flares.

      Question #1:
      - How did you resist not goosing the throttle. Not even a little bit.

      Question #2:
      - Did you ever find out what the old fella wanted that was waving you down?

      That's just cool.

As far as gassing it I was busy looking at the gauges and making absolutely sure I had brakes. Stone cold full race manual brake set up there is not much brake there at all they need heat. Not quite as bad as when you have power brakes and your car stalls but in that ballpark. Plus with the basically open pipes the car is thunderously loud!. I didnt even see my neighbor on the way up I was too busy. On the way back I think he was giving me the thumbs up.

Anymore updates on this car? I love this thing. My 74 chevelle is a Nascar/Pro-Touring themed car. Well at least it will be as time and money will allow. It is my daily driver though so I will not be going to the extremes that you have. I love the car that you have built. I am currently exploring the idea of doing a belly pan and some other mods under the car and elsewhere to increase fuel mileage. We shall see where that goes. Awesome build!

      Yes some updates....

Some more pics from the show. Something like 1200 cars the biggest show around. No awards but it attracted A LOT of attention. It was really a great couple of days. Couple of offers to buy it. Most common question was "What are you going to do with it?'' When they heard it has 700hp it was "Can we hear it run?" When I explained it is a road race track day car they pretty much all understood what I was talking about which surprised me a little.

There's not too many questions about the car my wife Susi (pictured) can't answer, after all she's been there through the whole process. It was comical how fast guys would stop talking to me as soon as she said anything There was one stock car guy who came back and looked over the car probably a half dozen separate times in one day and would answer questions about the car to the point people actually thought it was his car! He was a really nice guy though. Oh and heavily tattooed, face pierced Goth people like my car. I dont know if that's a good thing or a bad thing
