      any grille options on a 72 chevelle?

      i have the chevelle almost done . but looking at the front of it i am not that happy with the looks . does anyone know of some sort of billet custom grille for these cars ? thanks in advance

      I don't know about a grille but a 70 front end would help it a bunch. I have never been fond of the 71 or 72 noses.

      I never seen anything bolt on for that. Gonna have to make somthing.

      actually I have been working on a billet grill for a 72 for a while, havent gotten too far on it yet but maybe ill talk to a machinist friend about fabbin up some bars to get started.

      I personally would swap to a '71 front. The differences are subtle, but the 71 looks much better. Swapping to a '70 nose would require new fenders, core support, bumper, grille, headlight assembly, etc... 71 would only require headlight assembly/fender extension and the grille.

      I like how they made the 71 headlights separate from the grille. In 72, they tried to make it look like one piece, and it just didn't look good. (you'll see what I mean if you compare the 2)

      I think the reason that no one ever made custom stuff for these cars is because each year is different. It would be very costly to do something for each year. I personally like the 70 front end better too, however a 70 front end with a 72 rearend would just be wrong(round tail lights vs. square ones). 71 was the better of the two years with the split marker lights but as Derek said, there are several pieces other than grille to change.
