      Wheel fitment 86 Monte SS

I'm looking to move up to 17's to clear C5 brakes. I'm dead set on using the Z06 wheels pictured below and I will have the fronts narrowed if I have to, they are 17x9.5 56mm. I understand I will have to use spacers, and that is ok with me. I would like to know what is the widest I can fit in the front and still steer with out a crazy amount of rubbing on a lowered car (2" front 1" rear). will 9.5 fit in the rear with out rubbing with the correct spacers ?
I do eventuially plan on notching the frame but not immediately.
I will also roll the lip of the wheel well if I have to.

I know of a couple of Monte SS's with 9.5" width in the front, I think they are running 4.5" or 5" backspacing. I have 9.5" rears in the back with 5" backspacing. They do not rub, but they are close.

I have been debating those same wheels, but was looking for 10" or 10.5" wide in the rear, & 8" wide in the front. I know they make them in 8" widths.

This guy is running 9" widths front & back:
