      Nova Subframe Connector Questions?

Im looking into getting a set of subframe connectors for my 74 Nova and looking to see which ones are the most popular and the ones that are good. I wanna go bolt in because I wanna try not to mess with the car underneath..but not sure. So bolt in or Weld In? also when welding will the floorpans have to be cut as ive read from the other posts? and lastly which brands, Hotchkis, Global West, DSE, or Competition Engineering? Thanks for the help

GTO, 2009 Camaro or maybe a pro-touring machine? Only time will tell. The Nova for now!

We install and sell a lot of Hotchkis. They fit the best of any I am aware of, and tuck very nicely. The do require 4 plug welds at the rear of the connector, but bolt in the front. I have not installed any connectors that bolt at the rear that did not do more damge then 4 plug welds to the original car. No floor cutting or hammering needed with the Hotchkis. We stock these.

Here is a set we just did ion a Camaro we just finished. What i like is you can barely see them in the profile shot

The Global West Connectors also require welding on the rear but bolt at the front. No Floor mods needed. No interference with the leaf mount. The DSE ones aer welded into the floorpan and require a LOT of fab and welding. The CE bolt ins work, but not the best and are a PITA to get lined up with the leaf mounts and the frame (sometimes). I would go anything but the CE pieces and avoid the DSE if you don't want major surgery on your floorpans. To me it is between Hotchkis and GW, and last I checked, the GW pieces were priced better.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

I have the Global West ones. Haven't put them in yet, but from what I understand there's no body mods and you weld them to the frame. The look sweet!!
