      Stockton wheel says they can. I checked with them several months ago about widening a wheel for my ride then went a different direction. But if memory serves, about a $100.

      last time I talked to stockton wheel, they'd only do steel wheels. (and not that good of quality if I remember.) They did all of our wheel repairs at the body shop I worked at.

      Weldcraft understands the importance of it looking good as well as working good.

      Can Weldcraft widen the wheel on the outside (make the rim deeper)?
      or do they only widen the backspace?

      Nevermind, I found this quote on their website;
      "Aluminum Wheels — Are v-grooved and hand tig welded....all seams...both sides. Can be widened to the front as well (deep dish look) however this will involve finishing down the weld beads and refinishing your wheels. In other words, this will cost more!"

      Try this guy http://www.esajianwheels.com. I had him change the backspacing on my wheels and he did great work and only charged $100 a wheel. Not sure if he narrows or not but it might be worth asking.
