      opinion, coys 18x8, 20x14

okay guys im considering some coys wheels. yes before you say anything about their service etc ill say im going to order these and the ones for my dads 55 at the same time "18x7 & 20x8" it will be a year or so until my car is done so the shipping time doesnt matter too much.

but im wanting to get the polished c5's, i think that a 14" in the rear of a black bel air would be super sweet. im going to tub the back of the car drastically to fit them. even found these mickeys for not too bad of a deal, check these http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=MTT%2D6620&N=700+4294923107+4294921520+400206+4294793324+115&autoview=sku

another thing is im not wanting to go drop 5 to 6k on a set of wheels and tires due to the roads where im at, i could easily hit a pot hole or get ran off the road, lots of drunks here you never know when your gonna have to go ditch diving. i dont mind spending 2k on the wheels and 1200 on tires, ive done it before on the 20s on my s10, and i can justify buying these as opposed to someone that rhymes with royd bobbington "paying 2800 for the same size wheels"

You can buy the rear Coys, say 20x8 or ? with the least amount of backspace and then send them to weldcraft to have widened to 14" wide. www.weldcraftwheels.com
You will have to do the math buy i'd suggest modifying to 20x14 and what ever you would need to get a 7-7.5" backspace then set your rear end housing accordingly.

uhhh huhh thats why i want them haha. if you think about the rear wheel wells on a 55 and how they tuck a wheel anyways, think about that, you could fit a small child on that lip...hey put roller skates on him and he could ride like that hahah.

lol no i want the lip like that, im kind of going for something crazy on this. i want something like no other 55 out there, and the fact that its going to be tubbed so far inward that the inside of the tires will be closer to the rear differential than the original fender wells....well it makes me happy:D i mean just think of those wheels at a show tucked way up under the bel air rear wells....all you would see is lip, have to back up and make sure that it ends lmao. we put a set of 24s on a crown victoria at my old work "yes we did donk rides" but they had something like 6" of lip and i said i want something like that but way more...well now im getting it. im not buying wheels to fit the car im making the car fit the wheels, getting everything shortened and adjusted to fit them, and tubbing the rear like mad.
