      LT1 Steering Pump Fittings

I need to get new hoses for my power steering setup, does anyone know what size fittings are on an LT1 pump, and a '68 Camaro stock saginaw power steering box? I guess they must be different both ends? Thanks

If you are looking to convert them to AN fittings?

Hi Kevin, I'm looking to fit a cooler and braided hose between the steering box and the pump, so I was trying to find out the fitting sizes on the pump and the box so I can get the correct ends. Is the LT1 pump a metric fitting one and the box NPT fittings?

I'm doing the same thing with mine. I don't believe the gear side is a NPT fitting. They have a flare at the end. If you go to Detroit Speeds website (detroitspeed.com). The gear fitting you need are 090203S and L (5/8"-18 & 11/16"-18). On the pump, the line going to the gear could be one of two threads depending on what's on your pump. If your control valve is there (I believe that's the correct name), you can use a M16x1.5. Detroit speed part number 090202S. If it not there then part number 090401. I have the 090401 on order just to eliminate an potential leak area. Hope this helps.
