      Backspace help

I pulled the trigger andordered a set of bonspeed wheels for my 67 firebird. I need some help on the back spacing... I'm planning on running 18x9 up front and 18x10 in the back. I am in the process of putting a CA chassisworks g link with chassisworks mini tubs out back. I have a complete ridetech system with tru turn for the front. Any help, especially for the back would be greatly appreciated. I'm having trouble finding info with this setup out back.

Best thing to do would be to measure for yourself. Especially after that many mods. Measure twice, buy once.

You can also call chassisworks and they might be able to help.

Sounds like you haven't finished the front or rear suspension yet, but you went ahead and bought wheels already. Are you doing a brake conversion as well? This can change backspace too. How do you order wheels without supplying a backspacing spec to the manufacturer? Best thing will be to measure yourself. Any backspace number you get before you actually measure your finished car is a guess.

I guess I should have been a little clearer. By order, I mean I placed a deposit while bonspeed had their buy 3 get 1 free sale. They won't build th rims until I provide a backspace. I may have to wait until I install my 4 link but figured someone could give me some guidance. I still don't have a rear end so, I figured that would allow for some adjustment. Up front, I figured enough people were running a ridetech setup on this forum to give me an idea on back spacing.

I'm running the ridetech Triangulated 4 link and I have 17x9.5, with 5.50 back space I don't have mini tubs, but I just measured some 18x10 forgelines and those will need a 6 inch back space and they will fit on my car

forgeline test, these were 18x10 with 5.00 back space

my 17x9.5 setup with 5.50 back space
