      c10: Baer vs???

What is out there for C10's? Mine is a 64 that I am going to convert to disc. So far there is a stock upgrade, Baer's upgrade... Is there anything else??

I'd love to take a shot at making a kit for a truck...it's a 6 lug, right? What size rotors would you like to run?

Well, I'd like to convert it to a 5 lug, to run 18x8 and 18x10 Budnik murdoc wheels. And biggest rotors I could fit.
You should see my mini (1965) 7.5 inch vented/slotted rotors with 4 Pot billet calipers... All under 10x6.5's... And I still induce fade...

We've been working on a kit for the 72-87 C10 applications...the hubs and brackets have been designed and prototyped and is due to be installed for testing in the next couple of weeks (thank you Scot). The kit is based on C5/C6 components similar to our late-model B-body kits with the 5x5x3.06 wheel pattern, so there will be the 325mm C5/C6, 340mm C6 Z51, 355mm Hybrid, and 355mm C6 z06 options up front to choose from. We designed a new billet hub from scratch that will increase the track width by less than 1/32" per side on the disc applications. We're getting excited to release this kit as a lot of thought has gone into it already. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hey...glad you could make it Scot. It's about time to get this thing on the road. Your rotors should be modified soon and we'll ship everything out shortly thereafter. Have you decided which truck of yours this kit is going to be installed on first? I've still got to figure out hoses for you, but I need to know the application first.

The kit will be going on my 68.

As for hoses.... the set-up is MII R&P using C-10 arms/spindles. The hoses I used w/the modified factory suspension were actually for 73 & later trucks so there should be no problems spec-ing one or two P/N's for most of the 64-87 year models.

I haven't gotten the wheels yet either. Their 'shipment' came in w/the front wheels only. The rears are supposed to be in 2-10-08 or I start searching again.

Just looking for wheels that will fit over the Z06 option. I found a set of Z06 wheels but they are 5x4.75... and +53mm and +59mm offset on a 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 wheels...wrong bolt pattern...
What wheels are out there that fit the bolt pattern/clear the calipers (Z06) and have the 4.5 inch backspacing needed to clear a 64 fleetside with tubular arms and probably no tub in the rear?

      o-connor,

I have a 64 C10 Short Fleetside also. I just picked it up 3 weeks ago and everything was original. No power steering and all drum brakes. I live in Huntington Beach, Ca, so I went to a local company called Classic Performance and picked up a lot of goodies. I am also converting from the six lug to the 5on5" bolt pattern. They have a very knowledgeable staff and a good selection on "package upgrades". I am adding disc brakes to all 4 corners, new upper and lower tubular control arms, new 2.5" drop spindles, new rear axles, all new springs and shocks, new PS kit and new under bed fuel tank. I just picked up all the parts last Sat and will post again after everything is installed. If you have questions, you can always give Jeff at Classic Performance a call (1 714 522 2000 ext.114). He knows these truck really well and is super friendly.

I am also searching for a rim in the 5on5" bolt pattern and will post what I find.

Don't know what type of wheel your looking for or if these will clear the Z06 brakes, but the following is what I am looking at in a 5on5" (aka 5x127) bolt pattern. I am leaning more toward the "old school" look with better handeling/power. Hope the info helps.

I called Newstalgia Wheels and they did warn me that anything custom from American Racing might take 2.5-3 months.

      C5/6 13.4" brakes in a 20x8.5" Coys C-5 wheel . . .....

Close-up of the Coys 20" wheel & how much stem to caliper clearance there is. These are a little bigger than the 12" HD C10 brake option .
