console and trunk pics

Sorry for the delayed responce guys. I've actually been working then working on the car basically non stop. I built the console myself. It's made out of 1/2" plywood as the trunk panels are. The center parts are 1/8" aluminum w/ carbon fiber decals over them. It came out very cool, I'm very happy with how it looks. As far as the trunk pieces, it all just fits together like a puzzle and kind of locks itself in place. There is a strip across the top of the piece where the subs fit that is screwed into the top side of the trunk (hard to explain) I'm also going to add some other pieces of metal that is body color to secure it even more. If you look at the pic of the trunk before it was covered, there is a rough scetch of what I'm talking about. It will be decorative and functional. As far as the color of the car, It's a custom tri-coat color that my painter came up with, and believe me when I say, pictures do it no justice! It is definately a color that needs to be seen in person. The guy's an artist. The carbon fiber stripes and tail panel blows people away. Most think it is a decal, not paint. So is ther a groove cut in the two side pieces of the console for the 1/8" sheetmetal to slide through? If not then how is it in there?

They sit on another piece of wood and there is a couple of trim screws holding it in place. They have to be removable so I can install the console first, then those pieces after. The radio, power outlets, and switches are mounted to the aluminum pieces and it all gets installed after the console is in place. Just hook up the wiring and screw them in place and done.
