Booo! lol Being the car will never be true to purists and all your talk about your problems with the newer ford motors limitation I would keep it LS powered. Why spend money and time when you have a sorted car and another project to focus on. The LS is one of so many great things you did with the car and in it's self a unique setup in a 1st gen. Although I am mainly a Chevy guy I like pretty mush enjoy all cars and projects, but when it comes to racing and beating on a car the LS is hard to beat. Yes if you want more unique(non LS) that's one thing, but if you want to be able to get parts quick and most times cheaper to keep your weekend going there is just a enormous support for the LS platform.

It has actually been kind of fun doing research on power plants I'm not familiar with. Although I'm not sure what direction I will go, eventually that LS7 will be pulled to be freshened, at that time, we will see.

It is funny how this car and the hobby in general have progressed, looked back at the times we were running at Gingerman, for most of us the first time we were on a roadcourse. In the mid 1.50s got me in the top 8 shootout. I think the last time I ran Gingerman I ran a 1.41. Like 12 seconds faster, I'd like to say the cars have gotten that much better, but I'd say 50%, at least for me has been learning that a road course is NOT 17 drag races, turns and braking are where time is made up. Learned more in the past 5 years then in all the years prior I think.

That wasn't bad Mojo we had, just fun buddy. The start of all this craziness was a special time I think.

I hear you there, I enjoy researching and working out a solution. Could put that new motor to a third un-purchased project build! lol As in it all, the decision is in the owners hands!

So.... no more cowboy full on, oh S**T BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE....gas gas gas?? was always a fun ride haha but ya, there are faster ways around a track. I miss the big track stuff. Hope to start on my project this fall to get back to it.

Ron, love what you've done Are you ready to do another body kit? I have a brand new Thoroughbred 66 body with mini tubs and a supercharged coyote. Mine isn't a budget build.

Finally on the back side of my garage build, car has a new home. It has been so long since I worked on a car, I wonder if I still have it. Another couple days putting the shop together and I'll be back at it. Stay tuned.

No build thread on the shop, although it took two years, it turned out really well. I'm now cleaning and painting all the funky specialty tools I built stands for. For metal shaping I use railroad track, stainless ball valve innards from a ship, and a bunch of weird things no one would recognize. I used these for years, but I never painted any of these tools. With the new building, I want it all clean, at least it will look nice for a little while.

      Nice, Ron.

But now you've got me curious about those "weird things no one would recognize".

You know how it is Norm, necessity is the mother of invention. When I started shaping metal, I didn't even know what an English Wheel, bead roller, shrinker/stretcher was. Just bent , stretched, and hammer metal over strange shaped objects I found or made. Antiquated but productive. Cleaning and painting all that crap is tedious, but strangely satisfying.

That is one NICE shop Ron!! When I moved from Louisiana to Texas, I lost my 50' x 60' shop and I sure miss it... It forced me to downsize and get rid of a lot of junk but it's just not the same in a 4-car garage...

Let me know if you need any old oil & gas memorabilia to doll up the shop... I have Sinclair stuff from the '20's to the '80's... as well as every additive product known to man for about a 60 year time period! I have been collecting the stuff for about 20 years. I had the plan of building a full size 2-bay 1950's Sinclair Gas Station INSIDE my shop to work on and display my cars... Now, it will never happen.

      Great job!
