I truly know nothing about Ford engines but am looking forward to trying something different. We'll see how it goes.
The whole Ford/Chevy debate is for old people. I run what works. That being said I'm running the mod 5.0 with a 2.9 Whipple and expect to make tons of HP. Even without the blower they seem to do pretty good. Maybe I'll see what everyone is talking about (lack of HP) when I get out there.......

I don't think you have anything to worry about with the blower, its naturally aspirated it seems they could use a little more cubes to be competitive. There are so many LS7's out there, its hard for 5 liters to compete with 7 liters.

Hey Ron I thought you may be interested in this.
My boss had some interest in the Shelby photochop that was done of your car awhile back but wanted a front view as well. I'm worthless in Photoshop, but can push a pencil around so I sketched this up. Its my take on what the front view would have looked like.

Stephen has skills!!!! Cars are always cooler in cartoon form, the sides of the car are almost a perfect match.

That is really cool, and I too would be honored to hang that on my wall. Its funny I was thinking of running a different hood if I did the engine swap, and that one looks awesome on that car. Thanks Stephen, brought a grin to a really aggravating day.

That picture...looks like a sinister smile, all the while the car is thinking "I'm gonna eat you."

Its funny how exaggerated the sides look, but compared to the actual car its dead on.

Its sort of a, "What if Shelby made a 66 GT500..." and then Ron got a hold of it!

If you realllllly want to cheese people off, both ford and chevy, a call into ford racing to get your hands on a 3.5 ecoboost out of the f series trucks may be in order. 525hp and around 800 ft/lbs after sligjt massaging and tuning would be fun. Full race also has a single turbo setup in dev for it. I have one in my truck. Full boost is on by 2200 rpms. If they can run 12s in a 6k lb truck, I cant imagine what you'd be able to do in a light car. No clue what that ls weighs, but id guess the ecoboost is lighter. fully forged too

Ron, have you considered creating a larger grill to fill the front end/custom bumper in a bit more? Maybe a little more aggressive, too! Here's a quick Photoshop:

      I was bored, LOL.

That is an old picture . I made a custom nose for the car a while ago. You can see the difference here.

Chad from Motorstate just sent me this (Thanks Chad). Its a shame the camera was reversed, saw Jimi spin in first lap, and Tim spin in the second, so through attrition I was first in that session.LOL
