      '66 Convertible gets pipes

      Little update:
The chassis and sheet metal are finished so we loaded her up for a trip to Performance Exhaust. The car has so many chassis and suspension mods the exhaust needed to be scratch built. Dave Faver did a great job of tucking everything up tight and hitting all of the spaces dead center. The pipes also fit the frame cutouts like a glove. Now that it is all tacked together we will take it back to the shop and TIG weld it all with stainless rod. Wish I could light her up and hear her.

      Young gun,
The motor is a 408" Windsor, AFR heads, Wiand intake, Lunati roller valve train, KB pistons, etc. The front is stainless upper and lower tubular a-arms, billet shocks, Wilwood rack, Wilwood brakes and a custom cross member. The rear is a narrowed 9", torque arm, panhard bar, BRC anti roll assy, Wilwood brakes, and billet external adj. coil overs.

      Thanks!

      Thank you for the compliments.
It is what I have always pictured and so far it is turning out just the way I wanted it to. I had bought a '67 vert and was going to do an "Elanor", but, during the time I was waiting for the chassis shop it seemed like everyone was doing an "Elanor" so I decided to do something different. The '67 sold the day I listed it and 10 hours later the '66 was on a trailer and headed home. That was almost 4 years ago.

      Thanks,
      Brent

Nice to see a 'Stang convertible with a different paint scheme besides all the other great looking mods. Another good choice by switching from an Eleanor style build.
