      mcgaughy spindles (65 impala)

      any one used these?
      maybe a brake upgrade?

      I got them on my 58. They are good pieces IMO, but they use the same spindle on the 58-64 and the 58 has a narrower track than the later ones. So that put my wheel out farther than stock which makes it rub now during turning.

      I put mine on airride with stock spindles and it sits low.


      I did slotted and drilled disc brakes on all four corners from CPP and they worked nice. I didnt want to run bigger then a 16 inch wheel.

      the wheels are 16 x8.5 in the rears and 16x7 in the front I think. I don't remember the backspacing off hand as I built the car about 6 years ago.

      I am using their 2" drop spindles on my 79 Camaro and I feel they a good product...very beefy!!
