2.I only use snap-on rachets, I cant stand craftsman rachets or wrenches or screw drivers but there sockets hold up real well.IR air tools work great for ever!

2. Favorite brand & Why? Craftsman. Reasonably priced. Good quality. Easy to return/replace if I break one. Only done so 5-7 times in 38 years.
3. Your single favorite tool? (Zbugger get your mind out of the gutter!) 3/8 ratchet sees the most use so I guess that'd be it.

1:craftsman 40%, Sunex 10%, IR 20%, Snap-on 10%, SK 5%, Mastercool 5%, 10% random individual companies
2:craftsman: cheap, reliable, easy to get and if necessary, replace. once i figured out what oil to use in my 3/8 ratchet at least.
3:Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool--perfect flares and you can do it on the car (do not buyone from snap-on--i paid $235, a co-worker paid snap-on $500 for a rebadged kit)

I like them a lot. I just bought them a few weeks ago and have used them quite a bit. They will go in places that your ratchet won't, however the head on them IS thicker than a normal boxend so it does have limitations.

What is in my toolbox? Tools duh. Sorry it was there I took it.

Wrenches & sockets are all craftsman.

Screwdrivers, wire strippers, lineman pliers are all Klein. (Grew up the son of an electrician, that was his tools of choice, I guess it rubbed off)

Power tools, drills, saws & so on are a mixture of Dewalt, Milwaukee, & a few Black & Decker.

2. My favorite brands are Snap-On and MAC, but I can't justify the cost most of the time, so I buy Craftsman.

Well its hard to lay down percentage of brands, Snap-on,MAC,Matco,SK,ATD,Great Kneck,Duralast,Allied,OTC,Astro,Mechanics Glove,Coast,so much more to list,Multiple specialty tools from several brands.
Favorite brand. What ever does the job, I will use pretty much anything
ASE MAster Technician/ASE Master Gas Machinist, Driveability/Diagnostic/General Slave Technician.
Now if I can just get a place to put my tools and get regular work, fairly rather than having to work under a 25 yr old punk know it all (actually know nothing)service manager.


PS I guess I would really have to say that right now my favorite tool is (till my lack of a decent pay check makes me loose it)is my freshly updated Snap on Solus/and soon to be added OTC/MAC DMM Lab scope /Snap on Vantage DMM/Lab scope.

I have the box at work. Mac. Which has most of my collection. It contains roughly...

50% Matco, 30% Snap On, 10% Craftsman, and 10% other (Mac,OTC, Proto)

The home box, craftsman.

70% craftsman, 30% other (Matco, Snap on, Mac)

Plus three ammo cases, one for each Hot Rod.

2. Favorite brand & Why?

Tie between Matco and Snap On. The reason I have more Matco tools is, when I first started in the auto industry the Matco guy cut me great deals. I only use craftsman sockets at work. I found that everything else really doesn't stand up. they are slowly getting phased out as I up grade. I do use a fair amount more craftsman at home, I have some older hand me down craftsman ratchets that I like, but the new stuff is crap. I have a lot of older stuff(proto and snap on) that I have collected that I keep at home because I don't want to break them. I think I have a large collection for a 24 year old.... but, I've been at it half my life.

3. Your single favorite tool? Brand New Matco "quiet" 1/2 inch impact gun.

4. What's your profession?

Brake,suspension, and alignment specialist.... for a beef loving, fat, tire salesman.... wearing a cowboy hat.

1. Probably Craftsman, because I have too many wrenches & screwdrivers from them. Probably 25%, tops. I have a wide array of brands ranging from Snap On to swap meet crap to heavy but highly effective 70 year old hand me downs.

2. I do not have a favorite brand. Snap on makes great ratchets. As a home user maybe SK given quality & price point.

3. I have 3; 2 based on pure usage, the other because it is awesome. The first 2 are a small orange handled Craftsman flatblade with a slightly bent tip, and a pair of craftsman dykes. Used nearly daily in the garage. But my current favorite is easily my 80g, 2-stage Ingersol-Rand compressor (especially when connected to my blast cabinet). Runner-up: the internet. Wireless in the garage can be a huge timesaver (or timewaster, LOL).

4. Business Systems Analyst & Project Manager. I ceased having a wrench-related profession 10 years ago.
