Fixed caliper upgrade on AFX spindles?

Ive been looking for a bolt on caliper only kit for the c5 brakes used with the afx spindles. Im preferably lookin for a 4 piston kit cause 6 piston setups are probably gonna break my brake budget. Im doing this for aestetics more than anything but its a nice form following function kinda deal. More than likely the calipers used in the kits out there just bolt up but I may be wrong. Oh BTW Im planning on running baer slotted drilled rotors for sure. Hope you guys can help

Anything for a C5 Corvette upgrade should be bolt-on for the AFX spindles. The Baer upgrade, the Wilwood upgrade, the whatever else upgrade should work just fine with those spindles.

are the calipers available by themselves or do they have to be used in conjuctions with a full kit?

Matty, if you're asking if you can source the calipers from somewhere other than a company like Baer, the answer is yes.

You can actually go to just about any parts store and order up Stock C5 calipers, they're probobly rebuilt, and if they're not they'll cost an arm and a leg.

You might consider checking out Touring-Classics, its still a kit of sorts, but its pretty nicely packaged, no odds and ends to work out. (banjo fittings, brake lines etc etc.)

If you're worried about budget, get the C5 calipers of your choice and bolt them on...you may be surprised at how well a floating caliper can function. Not to mention it's going to be a larger caliper than most economy 4-piston calipers if it's looks you're after.

If you need fixed-mount calipers, Wilwood is probably the most popular for 4-piston options. Frank at Prodigy could probably help you out.

i guess i havent really made clear what im lookin to do. First off I know that the floating calipers are good as is but I like the look of a fixed caliper. What Im shooting for is a caliper that I can bolt on to a more or less stock c5 brake setup. Im getting the rotors from baer cause of cost and looks and I dont wanna spend 3k on a full on 6 piston kit with everything. So the plan is AFX spindle>stock sized baer rotors drilled slotted>4 piston caliper that will bolt up. So yeah thats what im shooting for is a direct swap out for the stock caliper. If it doesnt exist then I guess some red floaters will be what ill run. I looked at wilwoods site but didnt see a caliper that would bolt up only the 14 in 6 piston kit. Same goes for brembo, apracing, and baer.
