Agreed, but it really is apples to oranges. How about these terms then... it's like comparing an HRE to an Intro Wheel.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself Jon. The little details that make that wheel different don't make it better. More machine time doesnt make it a better wheel. Oh, and you can't compare a new company to a well established company. Let's see them sell a lot of wheels for a few years before they get compared to any reputable company.

Your absolutely right, Brian, but extra machine time does make a difference if it is spent making the wheel function, and appear better than another. Schott wheels, while not recognizable to the general public as an established company, internally is run and operated by individuals whom have been manufacturing billet wheels for more than two decades. Bottom line, it's a high quality product, built for the high end enthusiast.

Ya I know who is over there. I just want to make sure people know that just because a wheel is in the machine for an extra hour doesnt make it a better wheel. I also think that a new company should not be boasting so quickly and comparing itself to HRE or Intro. Bottom line, it's a new wheel company and no matter who is there, it's a new line with new products, and I think it's a little premature to start comparing this line to anyone who has been around for a decent amount of time.

Okay, fair enough Brian. I have every confidence that once these wheels start showing up on high end cars that deserve and necessiate this kind of wheel, that it will prove itself without me saying a word. We'll let time tell.

I would pay full price for a set of Schott Wheels before I'd take a free set from Intro.

How about posting up some weights to showcase your optimization efforts?

I'll work on a spread sheet and get back to you.

I can tell you this, the Velocity, in comparison to say a Budnik Muroc III is at least 3-5 lbs lighter.

"Custom built to fit your application" which means custom built to fit around big brake caliper offsets and overall diameters, in the bolt pattern, diameter, and width you need. It's no problem.

Greetings all. New to the forum, but not to hot rods. I followed a link from another forum and had to join in on this discussion.

I am curious why you chose to use an anodized finish rather than powder coating? Have you done any stability testing on these wheels to determine the durability of an anodized finish?

I bring this question up due to previous experience with anodized billet wheels that failed. I'm curious to know if you have done something to improve the stability of the process.
