      Caliper paint

I recently purchased new front disk brakes for my 69 camaro. The calipers are just stock, one piston. The calipers are a gray cast color. Do I need to paint them to keep them from rusting? And if so, what type of paint do I use, and do they make a caliper paint that is cast gray in color.

      Thanks in advance,
      JcGc

I painted mine with dupont engine enamel, silver/gray color. Im working on sanding them down first and redoing it so that its smoother.

I think I got some exhaust manifold paint that is cast iron grey in color from NAPA...it matched the color almost exactly and was good up to higher temperatures.
      It's what I does.

high heat duplicolor, sanded smooth and put on a bunch of light coats plus some high heat clearcoat from duplicolor. Made them look powdercoated!
