I still sort of enjoy it. I had to choose between that and the car. The car won.

I enjoy watching my movies with a 40" Samsung LCD, 4x Polk Monitor 50, 1x Polk Csi3 a JBL sub and a Kenwood KRF V5070D.
In the future I'd like to upgrade the sub to a Polk unit (mostly for the looks) and to get a Denon or Harman Kardon amplifier.

and yeah, I also have a Pioneer laser disc player in a box somewhere :o)

      This aint rocket science.

Go to projectorpeople.com and get into a $2-2.5K unit, add a screen and and use your existing sound system (if you have one with a receiver) and you will have a “home theater” for under $3k – and it is bigger that the $6k lcd tv's. The only issue is that you HAVE to have a light controlled room – as in very little light. I got mine connected to hdtv, dvd and xbox 360. the only disadvantage is when you are playing Forza Motorsport 2 – one tends to get a bit car sick.

      BTW, Halo 3 rocks!!!!!

I wish my wall could accomdate a 110" screen !!!! Im still waiting for the new '09 Mitsu DLP. I dont know if they will size it as a 73" or a 75" as of yet... but the price is coming down on DLP stuff this next year. And it justs fits between the speakers... now I hope the SPL between the cabinets doesnt crack the bulb...

Ive been at the stereo/home theatre stuff for quite some time. Always upgrading when it makes sense, and taking care of the gear I have so it will sell to someone else. Currently my main components are all Krell (KAV-1500 amp and HTS7.1 pre-processor). Marantz DV-9600 for the input and an infocus 7200 DLP projector with a stewart 120" greyhawk screen. The sub amp is a Crown K-2 with 2 18" Bag End subs with their ELF system. These speakers will measure flat down to 8 hz. Thats not a typo. Obviously you dont hear them that low, but you do FEEL them. The 5 main speakers are all Klipsch. 2 Cornerhorns and 3 Belles. All upgraded to modern drivers, wooden trachorns and extreme slope crossovers. Total system power is ~3500 watts. 450 for each main speaker (they are 6 ohm) and the subs.
I ran a dedicated 240V/60A service to a Furman 6 circuit (20A each) stereo panel. 3 of the 20A circuits go to 3 Furman 20A transformers where the crappy house current (120, 0 and ground..only good for turning electric motors and lighting bulbs) is changed to technical power, which is +60, -60 and ground. The biggest benefit to this is absolute silence (no hum...ever) from the power grid. Everything star grounds back to a single point, so no ground loops either. Made a very noticeable difference.
